FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Personal Assistant and Concierge services?
Just as a hotel concierge works to make your stay enjoyable, our services are based on skillful lifestyle management and friendly hospitality. Golden GoFers deeply care about our clients’ individualized needs, preferences, and situations, and we’re here to help you balance all of the factors that can affect your life.
How does billing work?
Payment is in advance, and we accept Paypal online (Paypal link here) We can swipe credit cards in person and also accept cash, checks, and e-checks.  Pre-paid debit cards may be used for shopping (receipts are always provided,) and other out-of-pocket expenses will be billed by email.
Are discounts on packages available?
Absolutely! Ask about creating a personalized plan, and we will discount pre-paid packages of 10 hours or more. We also offer periodic specials, so watch for our email newsletters and for promotions on our Golden GoFers Facebook page.
Are Golden GoFers bonded & insured?
Yes, we are bonded by Western Surety Co., so you can be confident we’re trustworthy and honest at all times. We carry General Liability business insurance as well.
What services do you not provide?
While we are proud of the support we provide for you and your loved ones, we cannot assist with personal hygiene, transferring/lifting clients, moving heavy objects, child care, or medically-associated tasks. If banking/paying bills is needed, we will just sign a Limited Power of Attorney. If the client’s car is to be driven by Golden GoFers staff, “permissive use” is required. At this time, our insurance does not permit transportation of clients in GoFers’ personal vehicles. We’re happy to arrange Drive-a-Senior, Lyft/Uber (client expense), or public transportation options.
Why are Golden GoFers better than home care companies?
First of all, you want trusted and familiar friends in your home, not a revolving door of random people. The local franchised home care companies see frequent turnover in staff, often due to the low wages they pay caregivers – often 1/4 of what they charge clients. In addition, Dianne and her small team of GoFers are educated, classy, skilled in a wide array of tasks, and experienced problem-solvers. However, if you need a full-time or specialized caregiver for bathing, toileting, daily medications, etc., we can refer you to a suitable home care company.
Do you provide services 24/7?
Our standard service coverage is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We will make every effort to accommodate any requests outside of those time frames, with advanced notice. Emergency check-ins or same day, evening, and weekend appointments may be possible and will incur a small surcharge. Dianne’s cell # is 512-567-3975 after hours, if needed. Medical emergencies should always call 911.
